The Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM) held its 36th National Congress jointly with the Inter-American College of Radiology (CIR) from May 25th to 28th, 2022, marking a prominent event in the world radiology calendar.
This congress featured the notable participation of Dr. Bettina Gerometta, who represented our medical center with pride and professionalism.

In this edition, SERAM had the honor of welcoming international partners, including the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) and the Société Française de Radiologie (SFR), as part of established collaboration agreements. The presence of these invited societies greatly enriched the exchange of knowledge and experiences between different countries and continents.
The scientific program of the 36th National Congress of SERAM featured various novelties, including highly participatory activities designed to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration and foster genuine interaction among radiologists.
These initiatives facilitated invaluable knowledge exchange not only between Spanish and Latin American Radiology but also with other regions of the world represented by collaborating societies.

A highlight of the congress was the course dedicated to “Incidental Findings in Radiology,” addressing a key aspect of contemporary radiological practice.
This course provided attendees with the opportunity to delve into a relevant topic and learn strategies for effectively managing incidental findings in their daily practice.
In conclusion, the 36th National Congress of SERAM provided participants with an enriching experience to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of radiology.
Beyond scientific education, this event strengthened ties and collaboration between European radiology, represented by SERAM, and its French and American counterparts, through RSNA and CIR.
In the words of the radiological community gathered at this congress, we reaffirm our shared commitment: “Let everything be for the good of Radiology and our Patients.”
This motto reflects the spirit of collaboration and dedication of radiology professionals in their constant pursuit of best practices for the benefit of health and well-being of our patients worldwide.
